Catching Up

Wow, this last month got by me quick. I thought since I haven't posted in awhile I would catch you up. This time of year I do a lot of traveling to see family. Since I have been on the go so much I haven't been able to sit down and write a blog post.

My last trip I went to Alabama it was so good to get away from work and the craziness. We went to the local festival. When we walked in it looked like a little town it kinda reminded me of the town in Ghost Whisperer. If you have ever watched that show you know exactly what I'm talking about!  There were vendors that were selling different products from hand painted signs, clothes, antiques, candles and etc. My mom and I stopped at one vendor that was selling candles and body scrubs and bath salts. They smelled amazing! I'll share soon on another post of my review on the products! While walking around we could smell kettle corn so we stopped and got a bag, it was delicious! They also had different groups singing, a petting zoo, and play area for kids.  {Unfortunately , I didn't take any pictures!}
The day I left we ate at the egg and I. It was delicious! I got some yummy french toast, fruit, bacon and coffee! If you have never ate there  you should definitely check it out!

This time of year is my favorite time since I get to get away for several days to a week just to wind down and really relax. Another trip in a couple more weeks, can't wait!

A Peek Into My Week

I can't believe Friday is already here! It has been such a busy week and I'm finally able to sit down and write a post. I had three tests this week that kept me deep into my studies. They definitely added to the craziness! Now, that the weekend is here I can take a breather.

On Wednesday, I took Benji on a walk downtown on a trail. It was in the early 70's so, it was the perfect weather. I'm glad I was able to get him out without him having burn up!

While on our walk I saw these beautiful flowers outside of a restaurant; I just had to take some pictures.

I have been on this trail many times, but this time I noticed something I haven't before. It was in the kids play area so maybe that's why I haven't, but I saw this sharing library. Such a cute and fun idea!

This week I have really been trying to get more active. So, along with taking Benji on walks I have been working out again. I started back to my favorite workout, Piyo. I love this one because you use no weights and there is no jumping that will strain your joints. I did this a little over a year ago after having a lot of problems with my knee. I strengthened it and got the flexibility I needed. I'm so excited to start back on this journey of getting healthy and active. I always feel so much better after a good sweaty workout.

On Thursday, I got together with Haley, one of my really good friends for lunch. We met on campus and ate at Einstein's. It was my first time there EVER. Which is very surprising since it's right across the street from my school! There will definitely be some visits in the future.We had a great time catching up and hanging out. {We forgot to take pictures, bummer!}

How was your week?
I hope you have a great weekend!

My Sunday Nights

Does anyone else feel like the weekend comes and goes in a blink of an eye?  It was just Friday and now its Sunday, back to the grind tomorrow.

By the time the evening rolls around I'm running a thousand miles a minute. Here are some ways I get relaxed and ready for my new upcoming week!

 Pajamas

 Hot Tea- I heart hot tea.

Diffuse lavender essential oil- Gives such a relaxing environment and smells amazing!

 HGTV- This channel is an obsession of mine.

 Do laundry- May not sound relaxing, but it's one way I wind down.

✓  Catch up in the blog world!

 Look at upcoming things to do for the week.

Cuddle with Benji- What better way to end my night then with my fur baby!

I really wish there was more hours in the weekend or maybe more days. Can Monday be part of the weekend for now on? What are some ways you like to spend your Sunday nights?

I hope you have a great week!
